Winter weather in Vancouver is mild with rain translating into snow on nearby mountains for skiing. Spring comes early with flowers usually in bloom by the first week of March. Here you can really sail and ski in the same day, though few seldom try.

Vancouver, Canada’s third largest city 20 miles north of the U.S. border is the headquarters of more than 160 major corporations. With the second busiest airport in Canada and the country’s largest port, the city’s location provides convenient access to over 250 international business centers.

Equidistant from London and Tokyo, Vancouver sits at the mid-point on North America’s west coast, a strategic location for trade with Asia. Since being “discovered” during Expo 86 and Winter Olympics 2010, Vancouver and it’s surrounding communities have become the fastest growing area in North America, giving it the nickname “a city of the building cranes.”

Vancouver’s summer Alaska cruise season, from May through September compliment’s its “entertainment season” from October to April. Tourism, the city’s number one industry, is projected to grow as urban tourism becomes the most rapidly growing sector of the world economy.
